Interactive Male, a Vancouver-based company that calls itself the largest chat line for gay and bisexual men in North America, said in a press release yesterday it has been fighting for years with the COC over its trademark logo.
More than four years ago, COC's lawyers challenged Interactive Male's application to trademark the image, saying the stick figures resemble event symbols the Games have used since the 1970s.
"This is fantastic news in the sense that it saves us so much time and money and headache," said Rachert.
"But it is disappointing that it takes a press release to make them stop."Rachert said the logo is too good to give up and represents the company's brand.
